California Sunshine

One Taco at a time

A casual family taco spot serving up Texas favorites with fresh NorCal vibes ✌️

Our Story

Ray Ray's Tacos debuted in 2019 at the St. Helena Farmers Market in Napa Valley with a vision to combine the best of Texas Hill Country cuisine with the fresh and vibrant flavors of Northern California. Breakfast tacos, scratch-made salsas, and build-at-home taco kits quickly became go-to favorites for both local families and wine country visitors alike.

Today Ray Ray's continues to serve its community through farmers markets, pop-up events, and other creative culinary collaborations. Ray Ray's first brick-and-mortar location will open in downtown St. Helena in 2023.

Austin, meet napa

Folks tend to think California and Texas are worlds apart, but we bring the best flavors from these bold states together to serve delicious and unexpected food that everyone can get excited about.

Shredded brisket, queso, and flour tortillas are just a few of the Tex-Mex-ish staples our menu is built on. Then we add our Best Coast faves—ingredients like farm fresh eggs, avocados, Fresno chiles, pomegranate, and pickled kumquat (often foraged from neighborhood trees)—to make tacos, salsas, and salads your taste buds will celebrate.

Rachel Williams

Chef / Owner

Rachel moved to Napa Valley with her family in 2016 to fulfill a lifelong culinary dream, graduating top of her class from the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. After graduation she worked on special projects and as a forager at The Restaurant at Meadowood and The Charter Oak farm before launching her namesake pop-up, Ray Ray’s, in 2019.

Drawing inspiration from the Tex-Mex flavors that became her go-to favorites while living in the Lone Star State, as well as the Southern recipes that shaped her childhood in North Carolina, Rachel aspires to create new food memories for her friends, neighbors, and guests visiting California's Wine Country.
